Dutch side FC Twente has completed the signing of Everton midfielder Nathangelo Markelo on a season-long loan for the 2020/21 season.
Earlier in the month, Markelo signed a new two-year contract as the Toffees were keen to ensure him a campaign of senior football after impressing at the under-23 level since joining from FC Volendam in 2017.
"I recently renewed my contract with Everton, but there is not yet a direct view of a place in the first team," he told the club's official website.
"The chance of this is greater at FC Twente and that is why it is good for me to play here this year. I know the club well, because Jahnoah, my younger brother plays in the academy. That's why it's extra fun to play here this season."
Despite being involved with first-team training under manager Carlo Ancelotti, the 21-year-old is yet to make his first-team appearance at Goodison Park.
