Serie A giants Inter Milan is expected to announce the permanent signing of Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United on Thursday.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia ahead of Inter’s Europa League clash against Getafe on Wednesday, CEO Beppe Marotta confirmed that the player will sign a three-year deal with the club on Thursday morning.
“It will be made official tomorrow; he is all but a full Inter player now. We have a three-year contract with him, we believe in him and in the fact that he can be an important member of this team,” Marotta said.
Sanchez started from the bench in Inter’s 2-0 win over Getafe on Wednesday night a result that saw them qualify for the competition next stage; the player coming on for Lautaro Martinez in the 70th minute.
Sanchez has been on loan at Inter since August 2019 with the reports from Sky indicating that the Chile international would receive a payout from United for cancelling his contract, which still has two years to run.
Sanchez would leave Old Trafford after scoring five goals in 45 appearances since his swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who joined Arsenal, in January 2018.
