Manchester United has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez has joined Inter Milan on a permanent deal.
A statement from United website noted: “Everyone at Manchester United wishes Alexis Sanchez all the best in his future career as he joins Inter Milan on a permanent transfer.
"Alexis moved to the Serie A club on a one-season loan in August 2019 and has made 29 appearances for the San Siro side, scoring four goals.”
The information came just minutes after Inter had announced that the Chilean international had joined their side on a three-year deal.
The 31-year-old joined United in January 2018 from Arsenal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading in the opposite direction.
After high expectations from the player, he was to score just five goals in 45 appearances for the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side.
His first goal for United came in their 2-1 FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
