Zambia Super League giants Zesco United have reiterated the club’s core policies.
The key message from club Chief Executive Officer Richard Mulenga came after Zesco lost out on the 2019/20 league title last weekend.
“Zesco is a team that thinks in the long -term and that is one of the reason’s you see we do not change coaches here and there because we want stability at the club,” Mulenga said.
“So even in this rebuilding process, we would want to win the league next year but we have also got to be mindful that rebuilding takes some time so we will not be in a hurry certainly just to pick players from all over to try and regain the championship.
“We are looking at it in the long-term.
Mulenga also took the moment to provide a hint that the club will be blooding in new young players to replace the older heads.
“They are about five teams that we spend money on but hardly any player comes through to Zesco.
“So we are trying to address that gap to ensure that we give young players from our development teams to break into the first team,” he concluded.
