RC Lens boss Franck Haise impressed with his side's start to the season

RC Lens manager Franck Haise has seen his charges win three successive matches, an impressive feat for the newly-promoted club.

Lens secured a 2-1 win at home over Bordeaux with goals from Ignatius Ganago and Gaël Kakuta which left the boss impressed and feeling confident ahead of the season.

"What interests me more than the standings are the three wins in style. Everybody deserves credit for it, but above all the players. We're working hard and well. We have the basics in place," Haise said.

"Being a perfectionist, I would say that we only have a one-goal advantage each time and that we need to improve our chances to goals ratio.

"Nobody is asking us to score three goals, just one more. That means we have plenty of room to progress. I'm satisfied with the spirit in the squad. A team with more chances wins more often.

"I prefer to advance, play and create. Being secure means not being attacking and not setting up a battle of forces."

Lens will take on Nimes away in their next fixture on Sunday, September 27.
