AC Milan have confirmed Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for COVID-19.
An official statement from the club read;
"Zlatan Ibrahimović has tested positive for Covid-19 following a second round of swab tests ahead of tonight's game against Bodø/Glimt," read a statement from the club.
Adding: "The Club has informed the relevant authorities and the player has been promptly placed in quarantine at home. All other team members and staff have tested negative.
The striker also took to his social media to confirm the news in the way you would expect him to.
I tested negative to Covid yesterday and positive today. No symptoms what so ever. Covid had the courage to challenge me. Bad idea— Zlatan Ibrahimović (@Ibra_official) September 24, 2020
As standard regulations, the striker will now stay in isolation, which rules him out of tonight's Europa League clash against Bodø/Glimt.
