West Brom boss Slaven Bilic registers interest in Karlan Grant and Islam Slimani

West Bromwich Albion manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed the club's interested in retaining the services of Karlan Grant (Huddersfield Town) and Islam Slimani (Leicester City).

West Brom have been impressive since their return to the Premier League, registering five goals from three matches so far.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Bilic feels he needs to still bolster his squad hence the interest in Grant and Slimani before the close of business.

“I’m respectful to the clubs and I’m respectful to my players here,” he said.

“But the rumours are true, they are two that are on our list. Very quality players of course.”

Grant registered 19 goals and four assists in 44 appearances across all competitions for Huddersfield Town last season.

The 23-year-old has not featured for the Terriers this season which could prove that he is prepared for his exit if the right offer comes to the table.

Slimani, on the other hand, spent last season on loan with Ligue 1 side Monaco where he managed to contribute to nine goals and seven assists in 19 appearances across all competitions.

The 32-year-old could be surplus to requirements under Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers and would be ideal to make a move elsewhere that would guarantee him game time.
