Paris Saint-Germain will be missing the services of several players when they host Manchester United in their Champions League group opener on Tuesday night.
Coach Thomas Tuchel revealed this to the media on Monday afternoon during a pre-match conference as his side put final touches before the eagerly anticipated clash.
Tuchel revealed striker Mauro Icardi will sit out the match at the Parc des Princes, after picking up a knee ligament injury during training last week.
Others who will not be available include Marco Verratti (quadriceps issue), and Leandro Paredes, who picked an injury during Friday’s 4-0 win over Nime.
Thilo Kehrer and Juan Bernat, the two full-backs who started the final match against Bayern Munich, will also be unavailable.
“For my team, today we are expecting Marquinhos and Draxler to start practice with us after the press conference and we hope they’ll be able to play with us,” said Tuchel.
“Verratti will be missing, as will Icardi, Paredes, Kehrer and Bernat.”
