Manchester United will miss five players for their Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, coach Ole Gunnar Solskajer has confirmed.
The Reds traveled on Monday evening for the crunch fixture but will miss the services of five key players, including captain Harry Maguire.
The Englishman picked a knock while on international duty with England, but managed to play against Newcastle over the weekend.
He however aggravated the injury and was not part of the traveling party to France.
New Signing Edinson Cavani is also unavailable for the match, having reported to training on Sunday evening following two-week isolation as per the coronavirus guidelines, following his arrival in the UK from France a fortnight ago.
Jesse Lingard, Eric Bailly, and Mason Greenwood are the other players who did not make the team.
“Yeah we’ve lost a couple,” Ole said during the conference in Paris.
“Bailly didn't travel and Lingard didn't travel. So we’re a little bit deflated but we have more than enough players.”
“Edinson needs a few more days before he’s ready. Hopefully Harry, Eric, and Mason, but we’re not too sure on that.”
In Maguire's absence, Bruno Fernandes will captain the team in his first appearance as a skipper.
