Liverpool is set to raid Bayern Munich again when the transfer window opens with the club said to be interested in David Alaba.
Liverpool continues to be linked with defenders after an injury to Virgil van Dijk that is expected to rule him out for the remainder of the season.
German publication Bild now claims that The Reds will test Bayern’s resolve once again for Alaba this after luring Thiago Alcantara to Anfield in the summer from the same club.
The Austrian has reportedly turned down a new offer of a new contract at Bayern Munich, and could be out of the club as he seeks a new challenge; joining the Premier League said to be on top of his wish list.
Apart from being a left-back, the 28-year-old can slot comfortably at centre-back and in midfield and his versatility said to be something that Liverpool is interested in.
The player is out of contract in the next summer and will be free to talk to clubs and maybe sign a pre-contract with any of his suitors in January.
