Midfielder Jack Wilshere has intimated that he is open to returning to Arsenal.
Wilshere has been a free agent following his departure from West Ham in the summer and there have been calls from a section of the Arsenal fans to have the player back going by their lack of creativity in midfield.
The Gunners have failed to score from open play in 450 minutes of Premier League action with their latest game ending in a scoreless draw against Leeds United.
After the game, 28-year-old Wilshere casually offered himself up as a solution to the club’s floundering form in a response to Piers Morgan’s tweet after questioning his side’s form after Sunday’s stalemate. The ex-Gunners star replied to Morgan’s tweet with an emoji, raising his hands.
Wilshere who joined Arsenal at the age of nine spent 17 years at the club where he made 197 senior appearances before joining West Ham in 2018. During his time at The Emirates, he won two FA Cups in 2014 and 2015 before joining West Ham in 2018.
