English giants Chelsea are moving to secure one of the best central defenders in the world in David Alaba.
As widely reported here on Futaa, Alaba fell out with Bayern Munich and is thus set to exit when his contract ends at the end of the season.
According to Bild, as reported by Goal, the 28-year-old Alaba will be free to talk to interested clubs come January 2021, with Chelsea preparing to be one of those sides.
“Bayern Munich defender David Alaba is to start talks with Chelsea in January, according to Bild,” Goal reported.
“Alaba is out of contract next summer and can speak to clubs outside of Germany from January 1 onwards to agree a free transfer.
“Bild report that PSG are also set for talks,” concluded the report.
Meanwhile, the Blues have a big Premier League battle with highflying London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
