Friday night football saw Newcastle United visit Selhurst Park to play Crystal Palace, as we usher in another Premier League weekend.
The game saw a host of missed chances and great saves from both goalkeepers, with Newcastle's Joelinton having the best chances for the Magpies.
Eberechi Eze was the shining star for the Eagles, but his magic did not pay off this time around, as Darlow was up to the task when it came to stopping him.
One would have pegged this to end in a draw, but Joelinton and Callum Wilson had other plans.
In the 88th minute, Joelinton made a nuisance of himself, holding up play before threading Wilson through on goal, where he held his nerve to slot through the legs of Guaita.
Again, you would have thought that was the winner, but just two minutes later, Joelinton found the nack of the net himself!
He'd missed a host of chances in the earlier minutes of the game, but he sealed for Newcastle in the closing stages as his deflected strike trickled past Guaita.
Palace were dominant throughout the second half but paid the price for wasting chance after chance as Newcastle arrested a two-game losing streak after a smash-and-grab raid, that sees them move to the top half of the table, with 14 points from their first 10 matches.
The Eagles have 13 points from the same number of matches.
