Aston Villa’s Dean Smith has been awarded the Premier League best Manager of the Month gong for a stellar December.
The FA announced the news via social media on Friday, thanks to Smith’s efforts to lead the rookies to three wins and two draws from their five games in December.

The 49-year-old Smith began his coaching career at League Two side Walsall, before moving to succeed at Brentford where he caught Villa's eye in 2018.
Meanwhile, Villa, who are placed in eight position, will be inactive this weekend after the fixture against Everton was postponed due to the Coronavirus crisis at Smith’s club.
