Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane is could be fit as early as next weekend as the forward is in contention to face Everton or Manchester City.
This has been revealed by Spurs boss Jose Mourinho who was addressing the media ahead of the Premier League encounter against Chelsea. Kane suffered an ankle injury during his side's 3-1 loss to Liverpool last week.
It was feared that the England international could be out for a lengthy spell on the sidelines but Mourinho has revealed he is progressing well and has predicted he could be available for selection in the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Everton next Wednesday or the league game against Manchester City.
"Good progress, he's happy with the progress and of course we're happy too," said Mourinho.
"I think it's not a very optimistic thing to say next week he should be playing, it will be just a consequence of his good evolution."
"So we're happy. We were scared when it happened but next week we play Everton and (Manchester) City at the weekend. I believe for one of these matches he should be back."
The 27-year-old is the club's leading scorer with 19 goals in all competitions this season.
