FC Barcelona hit with another injury

FC Barcelona's frustrations with injuries this season continued with the club confirming that Ronald Araujo is set to spend time on the sidelines.

The player was then taken off for Frenkie de Jong, but his absence was felt as de Jong was on the end of poor marking that leads to the goal.

In a statement, Barca confirmed that it was an ankle injury as opposed to the calf discomfort that fans suspected with the player set to undergo further examination to determine the extent of his injury.

The player has been a good make makeshift in the Barcelona defense that has suffered injuries of their own following the absence of Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet, and Samuel Umtiti.

It the second injury this season for the 21-year-old with the first coming in the club’s Champions League tie against Juventus.
