Atalanta will battle it out with Juventus in the Coppa Italia final after edging holders Napoli 3-1 on Wednesday night.
Juventus had booked their place in the final a day earlier after seeing off Inter Milan with a 2-1 aggregate with the teams set to fight for the title come May.
After a goalless first leg in Naples, Duván Zapata gave the hosts an early lead when he blasted in on 10 minutes against his former club before teeing up Matteo Pessina for Atalanta’s second. Napoli gave themselves a lifeline when Hirving Lozano bundled in from a rebound in the second half but Atalanta put things beyond doubt with a sensational second from Pessina, weaving his way through tackles before beating Davide Ospina.
In Spain, Barcelona has an uphill task of making it to the Copa Del Rey final after going down 2-0 to Sevilla.
Jules Koundé had given the hosts a 25th-minute lead after nutmegging Samuel Umtiti to fire home with Barca old boy Ivan Rakitić scoring what might be a crucial goal five minutes from time ahead of their second leg tie slated for March at Camp Nou.
