English Championship side AFC Bournemouth has interviewed Arsenal legend, Patrick Viera, about the vacant managerial position at the club.
Bournemouth is looking for a permanent manager following the sacking of Jason Tindall last week with several names already being linked with the job.
The Athletic reports that Viera will be one of the candidates talking to the Cherries over Zoom in the next two days but David Wagner remains the favorite to land the job; the club said to have given up on Chelsea legend John Terry who is currently an assistant manager at Premier League side Aston Villa.
The reports indicate that immediate former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is not looking to take on a new challenge just yet with Fulham manager Scott Parker being the other candidate should Fulham decide to show him the door.
Wagner’s CV is something that has impressed the club with the German’s first managerial role coming Borussia Dortmund’s second team, where he spent four years before leaving for Huddersfield Town in November 2015 whom he helped to a Premier League promotion. He is currently jobless after parting ways with Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
