Atletico Madrid's march to the LaLiga title was halted after they were forced to a 1-1 draw away to Levante on Wednesday night.
Diego Simeone's men went into the match hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table but came stuck against a disciplined Levante side that had lost only once in their last five matches.
Enis Bardhi gave the hosts the lead early on, but Marcos Llorente equalised for the visitors just before the break.
The leaders dominated for long periods and were the first to get a clear chance on goal in the 10th minute after Luis Suarez managed to launch himself at a lofted pass, but his close-range header flew just wide of the left post.
The visitors responded in the 17th minute and it was a goal as Bardhi ran onto a pass from Jorge de Frutos after great counter-attacking play and hit a fine first-time shot into the net from close range for the lead.
Suarez and Saul came close to equalising twice in the opening half-hour, and their persistence paid off in the 37th minute as they pulled level.
Llorente collected a pass and decided to try his luck from distance, and the shot took a huge deflection, which was enough to turn the ball past helpless Aitor Fernandez Abarisketa.
The second half belonged to the leaders, and they will rue a number of missed chances, including a contender for 'miss of the season' from Correa two minutes after the restart.
The forward could not find the back of the net from inside the 6-yard box after the ball rebounded to him.
The draw means Atletico have a six-point lead over Real Madrid in second after 23 games.
