CAF CC: Gor Mahia's trip to Zambia postponed

Gor Mahia's trip to Lusaka-Zambia for the return leg of the CAF Champions League against NAPSA Stars this Thursday didn't push through as planned.

Gor was set to travel on Friday to Lusaka ahead of the Sunday encounter but the club's secretary General Sam Ochola revealed the team is still in Nairobi. It is reported the trip was canceled owing to logistical issues but Ochila is positive the team will travel before the end of today.

"It is true, we have not travelled as expected, we were supposed to leave for Zambia on Friday but some issues cropped up so we did not travel," he said as quoted by the club's website.

"We are doing our best to make sure the team travels before the end of Saturday; we are working on it."

On Failed trip

"There are many things and I cannot explain now, just call me after two hours and I will be able to give you full details of what happened and what time the team will travel," he explained.

The Green Army suffered a 1-0 loss in the first leg of the competition and will need to secure a 2-0 victory in order to proceed to the next stage.
