Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained David De Gea and Anthony Martial's absence from the team that faced Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
The pair were expected to be in the side at Selhurst Park, having participated in regular training.
When asked why De Gea and Martial were absent, the United boss explained:
“With David, it's personal reasons. Anthony got a knock on Monday on his knee, so he’s not ready for this game.
“Hopefully he [Anthony] will be okay for the weekend but we’re not sure yet.”
In De Gea's absence, Dean Henderson started in goal, with Lee Grant selected as the back-up goalkeeper on the bench.
