Arsenal is reportedly interested in Norwich City winger Emiliano Buendia as a backup option in the event that a permanent contract for loanee Martin Odegaard falls through.
Buendia has been in excellent form for the Championship leaders this season, scoring 12 goals and assisting 15 times in the league, putting him in first place in the assists list.
The 24-year-old has piqued the North London club's interest, and he has Premier League experience thanks to his seven assists for Norwich City in the 2019-20 season.
According to The Express, the Gunners are ready to spend £40 million to carry the Argentine to the Emirates this summer, despite concerns about Odegaard's future.
Odegaard is said to want to return to Real Madrid in order to prove his worth to the Spanish giants, despite the fact that Arsenal is still interested in keeping him.
Buendia joined the East Anglian club in 2018 and has since made 115 appearances for the Canaries, scoring 21 goals and assisting on 41 occasions.
