Arsenal have recently contacted Fluminense midfielder Matheus Martinelli's representatives to express their interest in the highly-rated teenager.
In 16 appearances for his current side, where he has a deal until December 2024, the 19-year-old has three goals and one assist.
Arsenal have been scouting Martinelli since the early stages of 2021, according to Globo Esporte, and are keen to introduce him to the Emirates Stadium soon.
According to the paper, the Gunners have already contacted the teenager's representatives to arrange a transfer, but they have yet to make an official transfer bid.
Martinelli has been with Fluminense since 2017, and after impressing at youth level, he made his professional debut in December 2020.
Arsenal is also reportedly looking at signing Julian Brandt of Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for Real Madrid's Martin Odegaard.
