Laliga giants, FC Barcelona want to complete the signing of Manchester City defender Eric Garcia this month.
Garcia is set to leave City in the summer as a free agent after failing to ink a new deal with the Pep Guardiola side with the player keen on returning to Barca where he started his career.
Diario SPORT (via Lavan) is reporting that Barça has changed their offer to sign the defender on a free transfer from Manchester City, with reduced salaries and increased add-ons which would help Barça financially.
According to the report, the deal that was first offered in January had a higher wage, but new president Joan Laporta and director of football Mateu Alemany are trying to convince the player to join on a lower number, although the performance bonuses would increase dramatically towards the end of the proposed five-year contract.
The player is said to have a desire of returning to Barca as he has been promised a vital role in a team that has suffered defensive injuries this season.
The player is attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG with Barca keen to jump ahead of the queue for the signature of the Spanish international.
