English Premier League side Chelsea are considering their position in the proposed European Super League.
According to journalist Leah Smith, Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck held an emergency meeting with the club’s senior men’s team shortly after the initial reports emerged on Sunday.
There has been a huge backlash from a section of fans, players, managers, over the issue and it is being reported that some of the 12 clubs who have been labeled as the founding members are considering their stance over the move.
According to the reports, Chelsea’s standing within the proposal remains less than assured with UEFA having warned all the teams in the competitions of proper fines if they continue with their stance.
