In the midst of rumors about a return to Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar has said that he has never been happier at the club.
Neymar has just confirmed his “imminent” contract extension with PSG: “My extension? Everything is almost settled. You know, we're in discussions with PSG... We're not in a hurry. I feel comfortable. I feel really happy here”, he told RMC Sport. 🚨 #PSG @psghub https://t.co/fSGEGKMAYR— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) April 27, 2021
The 29-year-contract old's situation at Parc des Princes remains unresolved, and he is set to become a free agent in the summer of 2022 as things stand.
Neymar has been linked with a stunning return to Barcelona and is reportedly willing to take a pay cut to make it happen, but the winger is loving life in Paris and is focused on winning the Champions League with PSG.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Wednesday's semi-final first leg with Manchester City, Neymar said: "This year PSG has really improved and we have worked a lot to keep improving.
"I really feel great, really happy. I am most happy this season. We really want to win the Champions League."
PSG sporting director Leonardo believes there is no rush to sign Neymar to a new contract, as the club is focused on extending Kylian Mbappe's contract, which expires in 2022.
During an injury-plagued 2020-21 season, Neymar has 14 goals and nine assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.
