Southampton striker Danny Ings could miss the rest of the season according to head coach Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Ings suffered a hamstring injury during Southampton's recent loss to Tottenham and could be out for the remainder of the season, crushing his hopes of receiving an England call-up. During his press conference, Ralph Hasenhuttl revealed the striker will not return against Leicester tomorrow and could miss the remaining matches this season
"It is not that [much] worse than it looked at first," he told reporters on Thursday.
"But it’s also that serious that he misses now a few games. I don’t know if he comes back for the last games. We have Liverpool [on May 8] and then five games in two weeks so we need every player."
Despite his season being hampered by fitness issues, Ings remains Soton's top scorer this season, netting 11 goals in all competitions.
