Premier League side Southampton has confirmed Ryan Bertrand will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of this season.
Bertrand initially joined Soton on loan from Chelsea in 2014, before making his move permanent at the start of 2015, and has made 240 appearances for the club. Arsenal have been linked with Ryan and were keen to bring him to the Emirates during the January transfer window but a deal was unlikely given Southampton's stance.
"Southampton Football Club can today confirm that Ryan Bertrand will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season," a statement from Soton read.
"Bertrand initially joined Saints on loan from Chelsea in 2014, before making his move permanent at the start of 2015. He has gone on to make 240 appearances for the club, scoring eight times, and was a key part of the team during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history."
