FC Barcelona is set to drop their interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Haaland has been linked with a move to Spain with reports last month from various tabloids indicating that the players’ agent Mino Raiola and the player’s father were in Spain to negotiate a deal with both Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Barcelona is in the market for a striker having failed to replace Luis Suarez in the summer but according to Cat Radio. The plans might be postponed due to Dortmund’s qualification to UEFA Champions League.
Dortmund feels that they don’t have to sell their best players for their competitors in Europe with Haaland future set to wait for next season for the services of the player when he will be available for €75 million.
Ronald Koeman has found temporary fix in Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele to lead his attack and with Memphis Depay expected to arrive in the summer, Barca feel they will be sorted on the strike force in the coming campaign.
Apart from Depay, there have been rumors that Barca might go for Sergio Aguero who will also be a free agent in the summer from Manchester City.
Apart from Real Madrid and Barcelona, City is the other team that has been linked with the player.
