RB Leipzig happy to offload Liverpool target Ibrahima Konate

Bundesliga side RB Leipzig will be happy if defender Ibrahima Konate can leave the club in the summer.

The Frenchman has strongly been linked with a move to Liverpool and despite both parties yet to officially confirm the move, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed months ago that the player will be headed to Anfield in the summer.

According to German publication BILD via Tribal Football, Konate is attracting interests from various teams in England but the Reds remains favorites and they will be happy to let the player leave since they need the money to fund some of their targets too.

The player has a buyout clause of €46m, which RBL would be happy to see triggered in the coming weeks even though the reports indicate that they are not in a hurry for any move because the club is confident that serious suitors for the player will afford the price.

The 21-year-old joined RBL for nothing in 2017 having been in the books of Sochaux where he started his football.
