English Premier League side Everton has joined the race to sign Valencia winger Goncalo Guedes.
Reports from Spanish sports station Plaza Radio via Plaza Deportiva, Everton's chances in the race have been boosted by the fact that Valencia wants to sell the player so that they can get funds to afford some of their targets.
The La Liga club is being saddled in huge debt, thought to be over £173m, and is bound to sell some of their best players to balance books. But Everton is not the only team in the Premier League interested in the 24-year-old attacker according to the reports with Wolves said to be keen on the player too.
La Razon recently claimed that Valencia will ask for a fee of around £34.6m for their wide player however Wolves are struggling financially and they need to sell some of their big players in order to fund moves for potential new arrivals.
Guedes who managed five goals and five assists in 31 appearances in the Spanish League this season can play in all three positions up front as also as a striker with Everton keen to add to their attack.
The 2020-21 season started brightly for Everton but they ended up finishing 10th in the league, behind newcomer Leeds United with Ancelotti admitting that they will need to spend again if they are to compete with the best teams in the league.
