Laliga giants Real Madrid have lowered their prize on Manchester United target Raphael Varane.
Mundo Deportivo via The Express reports that Madrid wants to sell the 28-year-old so that to raise funds for some of their targets with the player yet to sign a new deal.
It had been reported earlier in the week that Madrid had offered the player a new deal which he hasn’t signed yet with Varane stating that he will only talk about his club future after the Euros with France.
According to the reports, the Spanish giants are aware they are at a disadvantage when it comes to negotiations and has softened their stance somewhat. They are now willing to sell Varane for £60million.
Madrid is afraid of losing the player for free with the Frenchman having just a year left on his current deal. The player is said to be open to exploring a new league with the Premier League being one of them.
Apart from United, Varane has been linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain but it is United who has been adversely mentioned in the transfer of the player as the English giants are in the market for a new central defender to partner captain Harry Maguire.
