🏆 Copa America: Brazil leave it late to hit Peru 4-0 in Rio

Brazil continued with their perfect start to the ongoing Copa America tournament after beating Peru 4-0 in their second match played at the Estadio Olimpico Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro.

The hosts unsurprisingly got off to a perfect start with a 12th-minute goal from Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, who was at the right place to tuck in a Gabriel Jesus cutback.

Peru however worked their way back into the game and matched the Selecaos for long spells, before late goals in the second half eventually saw them off.

First, Brazil were awarded a penalty on the hour mark when Neymar went down inside the box, but it was correctly overturned following VAR checks.

The PSG forward however doubled his side's lead a few minutes later to provide the much-needed cushion.

Éverton Ribeiro then scored his first senior international goal late on with a minute of normal time.

Richarlison then completed the rout in added time with a well-taken strike.

The win means Brazil top Group B with six points, two ahead of Colombia in second.
