Italian giants Inter Milan are interested in signing Monaco striker Keita Balde, according to the player's agent Federico Pastorello.
Pastorello was speaking to FCInterNews after leaving a meeting with Milan directors where he explained Balde is still a target for the club and manager Simone Inzaghi.
Balde has worked with Inzaghi before at Lazio in addition to having been at Inter on loan for a period during the 2018-19 season, before returning to Serie A last season on loan with Sampdoria.
"It went well, we took stock of various situations," said Federico when asked how the meeting with Inter directors went.
Asked whether Inter are secure in their situation with Lukaku he had this to say: "Yes, sure sure. Romelu is on vacation and I think he deserves a holiday like he’s taking, there are no problems."
Asked whether he is optimistic about the prospect of a deal for Balde, he stated, "Eh, let’s see,” and he closed stating this about Inzaghi: "He knows [Balde] very well, he is evaluating him."
The Senegalese joined Monaco on a five-year contract for a reported €30 million transfer fee.
