Arsenal consider third transfer bid for Sheffield United goalkeeper

Arsenal is preparing a third proposal for Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the region of £25 million.

So far this summer, the Gunners have had two bids for the 23-year-old denied down.

Any prospective deal for Ramsdale is likely to involve considerable add-ons, with Arsenal's current approach thought to contain an initial cost of £18 million plus add-ons worth more than £25 million.

Sky Sports News has been informed that reports of a £30 million incoming bid are inaccurate.

Ramsdale, who was capped by England from the age of 18 to 21, returned to Sheffield United last summer in a £18.5 million deal from relegated Bournemouth.

Despite Sheffield United's relegation last season, Ramsdale was named player of the season, and the same was true in his final season at Bournemouth in 2019/20.

He was a member of England's Euro 2020 squad that advanced to the final, but he has yet to play for his country on a full international level.

Arsenal have already signed Nuno Tavares from Benfica and Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht so far this summer.
