English Premier League's North London supremos Arsenal are waiting on Real Madrid to make a decision on Martin Odegaard.
The exciting Norwegian attacking midfielder impressed while on loan at the Gunners last season, before contract rules dictated his return to Los Blancos for preseason.
With a new manager in Carlo Ancelotti at Real, Odegaard is being looked at, and Arsenal hopes the Spanish giants will decide to sell the 22-year-old who scored two goals and made two assists in 20 appearances in a red shirt.
However, hopes are not quite high... according to Fabrizio Romano.
Arsenal always had clear position regarding Martin Ødegaard. He’s always been considered the main target as number 10 - also if ‘complicated’. ⚪️🔴 #AFC— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 29, 2021
...but if Real Madrid decide to let Ødegaard leave, Arsenal will be ready to make a proposal to sign Martin on permanent deal. https://t.co/YmC4xBtIhT
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta's side will kick off the new Premier League season away to newcomers Brentford on 22 August.
