Newcastle United Jeff Hendrick believes his teammates are behind underfire manager Steve Bruce.
Bruce has constantly divided opinions from the club fans with most of them having called for his sacking following their winless start to the season but according to Hendrick, they are working hard to turn things.
"I thought we worked hard," the midfielder said after their loss to Wolves on Saturday. "To come away without a point is tough to take. It's nice from a personal point of view to get a goal."
"The only big thing is we have got quite a bit of time before the next game. It's still early in the season. Of course, he (Steve Bruce) is hurting. We are all hurting. It is a cruel league. We have to stick together."
Newcastle lost once again to Wolves on Saturday despite Hendricks having canceled a Hwang Lee opener. The South Korean was on the scoresheet once again in the 58th minute in what proved to be the winner in the tie.
The loss leaves the club second from bottom in the Premier League table after collecting just three points in their first seven games with the club having a date with Tottenham after the International break.
