Sadio Mane entered the Premier League history books with his Saturday strike against Watford FC.
The Senegalese gave Liverpool the lead in the 9th minute after a superb assist from Mohamed Salah and played a vital role as his team ran 5-0 winners over the league newbies in a game that saw Roberton Firmino score a hattrick.
The goal was not Mane's 100th in the Premier League but one that placed him third in the best African goalscorers in the English top flight.
Mane who has featured for Southampton and the Reds in the League netted his first goal back in October 2014 as he scored the winner for the Saints in a 1-0 victory over Stoke City.
He went on to score another nine that season and followed up with 11 in 2015-16 with his outings persuading Liverpool to spend a reported £34million on him. At Anfield, he went on to score 13 times from 27 league appearances in his first campaign.
He has reached double figures for goals in each of his previous five full Premier League seasons with the Reds, with 2018-19 undoubtedly his best where he scored a career-high of 22 goals.
While he is the 31st player to score at least 100 goals in the Premier League, he is only the third to reach that landmark without penalties, joining Les Ferdinand (149) and Emile Heskey (110) in an exclusive club.
