Crystal Palace' Gallagher set for England call up

Crystal Palace midfielder Conor Gallagher is in line for an England call-up following his sterling performances with his club.

The player is set to replace Mason Mount who has been given time off by manager Southgate after the removal of his teeth.

21-year-old Gallagher swapped Stamford Bridge for a season-long stay at Selhurst Park after impressing at West Bromwich Albion in the previous season. He has notched up four goals and two assists in 10 Premier League games for Patrick Vieira's side this season.

The midfielder has represented England at every level from Under-17 onwards and was part of the Under-17 World Cup-winning squad in 2017.

After thrashing Albania 5-0 on Friday night, Callagher will be hoping that he can play a part when England take on San Marino on Monday.
