🇰🇪 🏆 Gor Mahia knocked out of Caf Confederations Cup

Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have been bundled out of the Caf Confederations Cup after drawing 1-1 against Congolese side AS Otoho d’Oyo in the second leg match played at the Nyayo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Otoho d’Oyo came into the match with a slim 1-0 lead from the first leg played last weekend at the de Alphonse Massamba-Debat in Brazzaville.

In the end, they forced a draw that saw them claim a 2-1 aggregate win.

The visitors surprisingly took the lead in the ninth minute through Ronald Okouri but Mark Harrison's boys leveled two minutes later when John Macharia found the back of the net.

Despite possessing the match for long periods, Gor could not find a way past the determined Congolese club.

Gor needed to win with two clear goals to book a place in the Group stages of the continent's second-tier club competition.

Here is how K'Ogalo lined up for the match;

Gor will now shift their focus to the Kenya Premier League, with their next match away at Vihiga Bullets on Thursday.
