UEFA CL: Chelsea held by Zenit, Juventus see out Malmo to top Group H

Moise Kean's header after a fantastic Federico Bernardeschi 'trivela' assist was enough to beat Malmo, and Juventus topped their Champions League group owing to Zenit's thrilling match against Chelsea.

Juventus 1-0 Malmo

Due to injuries to Federico Chiesa, Dejan Kulusevski, Danilo, Weston McKennie, and Aaron Ramsey, Koni De Winter, 19, was given his first start. Malmo, led by Jon Dahl Tomasson, had only one point from five games due to the absence of Felix Beijmo and Oscar Lewicki.

The Old Lady has not been at their best for most of the domestic season, but they came into this game having won four of their five group games, with their only defeat coming at the hands of Chelsea in a 4-0 thrashing at Stamford Bridge.

However, in Turin, Massimiliano Allegri's team came out on top thanks to a Moise Kean header early in the first half.

Zenit 3-3 Chelsea

The Blues were quick out of the blocks in Russia, with Timo Werner scoring from close range after Zenit failed to deal with an in-swinging Mason Mount corner after less than two minutes. That goal was the club's fastest ever Champions League goal (84 seconds), but the game was flipped on its head by a humorous five minutes right before halftime.

Claudinho scored for Zenit after Chelsea failed to clear their lines effectively, then Malcom placed Sardar Azmoun clean through on goal following Ross Barkley's blunder.

The in-demand striker then effortlessly turned Kepa and slotted the ball into the back of the net, leaving Tuchel fuming on the touchline at his team's rapid demise.

Chelsea came out in the second half with a bit more purpose after Tuchel's (possibly) rocket at halftime, and were rewarded with an equalizing goal when Romelu Lukaku fired in from close range.

Five minutes from time, the Blues retook the lead through Werner, but Magomed Ozdoyev's fantastic goal four minutes into stoppage time ensured the game would end 3-3.

Chelsea will face one of Ajax, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, or the winner of the Lille, Salzburg, Sevilla, Wolfsburg group in the last 16.
