Manchester United's new assistant Chris Armas is pushing the club to sign RB Leipzig utility Tyler Adams.
Armas who previously handled New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC recently joined United as assistant to Ralf Rangnick and it is believed that he will help the Geran get some of his targets in the January window.
Among the targets for the club is a right-back and with Newcastle United likely to sign long-term target Kieran Trippier, United is assessing other options according to reports from The Athletic.
🗞 #mufc's interest in Kieran Trippier remains but Newcastle are also looking at a deal for him. Rangnick’s assistant Chris Armas is also an admirer of RB Leipzig's Tyler Adams, who can play in midfield or right-back. [@lauriewhitwell]

Armas worked with the 22-year-old defender at the New York Red Bulls with the USA international capable of operating at right-back or holding midfielder, which appeals to Rangnick.
He is under contract with RB Leipzig until the summer of 2025 and it is unclear if the German club would be willing to sell.
