Argentina and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi has said Covid-19 gave him a stronger challenge than what he expected.
As reported here on Futaa, Messi tested positive for Covid-19 on 2 January 2022 and has been missing from PSG ever since.
The 34-year-old quickly left France to isolate at home in Argentina, before returning to Paris last week.
"As you know I had COVID and I wanted to thank you for all the messages I received and to tell you that it took longer than I thought to be well but I have almost recovered and I am really looking forward to getting back on the pitch,” Messi said.
"I have been training these days to get 100%, very beautiful challenges are coming this year and I hope we can see each other again very soon. Thanks!!'
Coming up for Mauricio Pochettino's side is the visit of Reims for Ligue 1 action this weekend.
