Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has said the club will have to find a solution to Ousmane Dembele's situation at the club soon.
The Catalan club could lose the French winger for free at the end of the season, and as such are desperate to either offer him a new contract or sell him.
Xavi has suggested the club will be willing to listen to offers during the January transfer window with a number of clubs interested.
“We can’t wait for Ousmane. Or renews the contract or a solution to sell him must be found immediately," he said.
Adding: “I don’t consider sending him to stands. He says he wants to stay but then he doesn’t sign”.
"The message is clear. Ousmane Dembélé has to sign a new contract or we find a way to sell him in January. No other way”
Xavi also took a swipe at the Frenchman's agent, who blasted the club over their stance on the player's situation.
"I also wonder about agent is talking the way he is and Dembélé, on the other hand, telling me he wants to stay. I can’t understand," he added.
Dembele has endured a torrid time in Spain with recurrent injuries curtailing his development after a promising start following his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund.
Newcastle United and Manchester United are speculated as Dembele's potential destinations if he decides to leave.
