Tottenham fullback Emerson Royal insists he is happy at Spurs despite being away of interest from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.
Emerson has confirmed that Atletico Madrid have made contact over a possible summer transfer. The Brazilian moved to Spurs from Barcelona last summer and has since made 36 appearances in all competitions, netting his first goal of the campaign in the recent 5-1 thumping of Newcastle United.
In an interview with Cadena Ser, the Brazilian said: "Yes, it has come to my attention that Atletico are interested in me. But now, I'm in a good moment at Tottenham. I don't know what will happen in the future. I like that other teams are watching my football."
Emerson stressed that he is in no rush to leave Tottenham, where he confessed that he is enjoying training alongside 'the best striker in the world', Harry Kane.
"For me, Harry Kane is number one in the world in his position," Emerson said. "Our plays all go through him.
"He is a player who can turn easily, can control the ball... I have never seen anything like him. He is very, very good."
