Man United News: Anti-Glazer protests to return for the Norwich game

A Manchester United fans organization claims it is organizing a wave of "continuous, unrelenting" demonstrations against the club's owners, the Glazer family, beginning with Saturday's Old Trafford match against Norwich City.

The 1958 group is encouraging supporters to march prior to kick-off and then boycott the first 17 minutes of the match – one minute for each year the Glazers have owned the club.

Although the 1958 group has encouraged supporters to keep the rally nonviolent and avoid becoming "another Liverpool," the protests are intended to kick off a continuous campaign against the Glazers' rule.

“Nothing will change until the head of the snake is removed,” the group said in a statement on social media.

“It’s rotten and starts from the top down, like any business. The club’s a mess so we need to act and raise awareness again.

“This is the start of constant, relentless, peaceful, and legal protests and actions against our owners.”

The likelihood of additional protests comes a year after the Glazers were the focus of renewed rallies by United fans in response to the Americans' participation in the failed European Super League scheme.

United supporters have accused the family of squeezing the club's finances while presiding over the club's continued downfall on and off the field.
