Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the trio of Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Ruben Dias will miss the remainder of the season.
Dias was withdrawn at half-time of their win over Newcastle United with a muscular problem with Walker and Stones missing the game completely.
With three games left to play in the season, Guardiola said of the trio: "Ruben, Kyle, and John are out until the end of the season."
The Spaniard further stated that Fernandinho who will be leaving at the end of the season will be forced to slot in for the injured players and will have to call on the academy player should he face further crises in defence.

"(Fernandinho has helped) a lot, otherwise, it's CJ (Ega-Riley) or (Luke) Mbete. In this situation it's not a problem, Rodri can play there. We have the academy. Everyone has to do extra," he added.
City moved three points clear of Liverpool on top of the table after a 5-0 demolition of Newcastle United on Sunday.
