The Ghanaian national team will set up camp in Nairobi starting Monday 12 November to prepare for their 2019 African Nations Cup (AFCON) match day 5 qualifier away to Ethiopia on Sunday 18 in Addis Ababa.

Ghana who are in Group F alongside Kenya and Ethiopia, were inactive during match days 3 and 4 following the ousting of Sierra Leone from the qualifiers by CAF.

Before taking on Kenya in September, Ghana held camp in Ethiopia to help prepare for the match day 2 encounter.

20 - man

Head coach Kwesi Appiah has named a 20-man squad for the tie with the Ayew brothers, Jordan and Andre returning back to the national team fold.

The West Africans currently lie in second place in the group with three points from their opening two matches while Ethiopia are bottom with just a point.

Do or die

The Waaliya Antelopes will be aiming for nothing else but a win on home soil to keep their hopes of making it to next year’s showpiece in Cameroon alive.

Kenya tops the group with seven points and are lined up to play Sierra Leone, who they lost to on match day 1, on match day 5, but it is still unclear if the fixture will be played.

If not, then Kenya will qualify for the Nations Cup for the first time in 15 years.
