Gor Mahia to miss part of Walusimbi transfer fees

South Africa Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs will not pay the remaining amount they owe Kenyan giants Gor Mahia for player Godfrey Walusimbi this after the defender parted ways with the club last week.

Gor Mahia was set to receive the second instalment of the transfer fee for the defender in January according to chairman Ambrose Rachier in an earlier presser but according to reports from South Africa, the club won’t be paying the remaining amount since the player was no longer part of their team.

“The first instalment was paid late last year. The second instalment was due in January. However the club in Kenya will now not receive anything after the player's contract was terminated,” a source told South Africa portal KickOff.

Walusimbi joined Chiefs in August in 2018 with his move having left the club with a bad taste in their mouth; the group feeling Walusimbi who was a key member of the team then left at a time when they most needed him.

The player who could be used in different positions across the field is believed to have returned to his native Uganda and is already looking for a move.
