Leopards’ Dylan Kerr on successive 3-0 loss, disappointed with Musonda

Black Leopards were made to endure a second consecutive 3-0 loss after facing Mamelodi Sundowns in the Absa Premiership last night.

Coming from a 3-0 loss to Bloemfontein Celtic last weekend, Leopards were looking to bounce back against defending champions Sundowns but ended up getting punished.

“We worked on things like pressing high yesterday but we didn’t do that in the first half. It was a bit difficult because the pitch is wide, it’s an advantage to Sundowns,” Kerr told SuperSport TV.

“We worked on not letting them get through the gaps but sometimes we lost concentration.

Kerr also expressed his disappointment with his main man and leading scorer, Musonda who he later substituted.

"His thought process is poor, we’re trying to score a goal and he loses possession within two touches and it’s in the goal from the counter. That’s what Sundowns are strong at, they’ve got good players.

The former Gor Mahia coach concluded his assessment by acknowledging Sundowns’ superior quality.

“Player for player they are better. That’s why they are Mamelodi Sundowns but we’re not gonna go there with fear. We made mistakes and when we got the ball we weren’t as patient as Sundowns."
